Street Dance 3D To celebrate the launch of the biggest street dance movie of the year, Vue cinemas have teamed up with StreetDance 3D to launch a great competition which gives you the chance to make and star in your very own 3D street dance video.

Britain's Got Talent winner and star of Streetdance 3D, George Sampson, will be choosing the best street dance video from your entries which will be screened in 3D and broadcast in cinemas across the UK for everyone to discover your talents.

All you have to do is visit http://myvue.com/streetdance3d to find out more about how you can enter your street dance video for your chance to win this once-in-a-lifetime prize. And what's more, there are more great prizes up for grabs! The second prize is a chance for you and 20 friends to meet the StreetDance 3D stars at an exclusive screening and we've also got lots of Vue cinema passes and StreetDance 3D merchandise for our runners up.

Vue is the only cinema to give a teen discount so if you're aged between 13 and 18 years old, you can get up to 20% off the adult ticket price at any one of Vue's 69 cinemas across the UK. Streetdance 3D will be in cinemas across the country from Friday 21st May 2010 with preview screenings being held exclusively at Vue cinemas on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of May.

New Titles at Dance Books

View New Titles at Dance Books on DanceWeb DanceWeb

New titles this week include a welcome reprint of the exceedingly scarce Ivor Guest edited book on La Fille mal gardée, first published nearly 50 years and long out of print. We have also reprints of Jack Anderson's classic book on the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and Crawford Flitch's very rare 1912 book 'Modern dancing and dancers'. Other new books include a major text on modern dance by the French dance theorist Laurence Louppe, and the proceedings of a recent conference on Rudolf Laban.

CDs include a whole series of bargain priced 2 DVD sets with some classic performances, and the first appearance anywhere of Terence Kern conducting a complete 'Giselle' with the London Festival Ballet Orchestra, taken at dance performance speed.

And on DVD is a major educational tool on collaborative choreography, based on the work of Pete Shenton and Tom Roden.

As usual, you'll find details of these and many other new releases at:

Sincerely,

David Leonard
