Street Dance 3D To celebrate the launch of the biggest street dance movie of the year, Vue cinemas have teamed up with StreetDance 3D to launch a great competition which gives you the chance to make and star in your very own 3D street dance video.

Britain's Got Talent winner and star of Streetdance 3D, George Sampson, will be choosing the best street dance video from your entries which will be screened in 3D and broadcast in cinemas across the UK for everyone to discover your talents.

And what's more, there are more great prizes up for grabs! Linedancer Magazine After last year's terrific response, Linedancer magazine is pleased to announce the Choreography Competition is back.

The prize as last year is one money can't buy. The winner will be invited to teach their winning dance at the 2010 Crystal Boot Awards.

Just visit our website and fill in the entry form or download an entry form and sending it to us along with your script before the 24th July 2009. You can also send us a video, which would be a great help but not essential.

After the closing date we will notify you if you got through to the heats, and give you a choice of venues and dates. For those unable to travel, we will be holding a video heat. The heats and final will take place during October and November.

The Rules:

- Each choreographer may only enter one dance.
- Only choreographers who have never hosted a workshop at the CBA's are eligible
- The dance must be a Line dance (no partner dances or team routines)
- The choice of music is entirely open.
- All dances should be given a level (AB, Beginner, Improver, Intermediate and Advanced)
-AB and Beginner dances should not have tags, bridges, restarts or be phrased.
-No alterations can be made to scripts once received. (Including music)
- Dances must be demonstrated to the music listed on the script.
- When performed, up to ten people (including the choreographer) can be on the floor.
- Dances should have been choreographed in 2009.
- The judges decision is final.
- All entries should be received by 24th July 2009

Celebrating the various art forms of dance and music, Bury Council have organised a variety of professional performances during the day including Contemporary Dance, Morris dance, Pole Fitness, Belly Dance, Folk Rock Band, Samba Band and Brass Band. Between these performances, a wide variety of dancers (age & styles) will be competing for the dance title in a dance off competition, winner of the singles and groups' categories win £100 plus a trophy.

The winner will be given the opportunity to perform their routine in front of the Strictly Showdance audience later that evening and receive their prize and trophy from the current Strictly Come Dancing Champion Camilla Dallerup.

We are proud to announce the 2009 MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition, to take place April 25–26, 2009, and featuring a thrilling show by world-class professional Standard dancers Jonathan Wilkins and Hazel Newberry.

The MIT Open is one of the largest collegiate ballroom dance competitions in the country, last year attracting over 1000 competitors from over 60 schools and studios.

As in previous years, we will offer all 19 dances from Beginner to Championship levels primarily in single- or two-dance events.

The competition is on the MIT campus in Rockwell Gym, 106 Vassar St, Cambridge, MA 02139.

Saturday evening there will be a show with world-class professional Standard dancers Jonathan Wilkins and Hazel Newberry. We are excited to be able to present this show, and we expect you will enjoy it thoroughly.

Ballroom dance champions Jonathan Wilkins and Hazel Newberry formed an exciting new partnership in October 2007. They placed second overall in their first competition together, the Blackpool Closed, just two months later. As they continue to represent England, this winning dance duo has repeatedly placed among the top three couples in professional competitions around the world.
