Among the dance recordings we've had most requested over the years are two of Jiri Kylian's early masterworks to the music of Stravinsky: Svadebka, Kylian's version of Les Noces, a moving Russian peasant wedding; and Symphony of Psalms, with its fantastic decor of hanging carpets.

These days, so many of the new releases I send details of are DVDs that it's very pleasant to have some new books to offer you.

Pride of place must go to Robert Gottlieb's massive and quite wonderful selection of dance writings: if you buy only one book this year it should be this one. And there are also new titles on Doris Humphrey, Mary Wigman, Alvin Ailey, and much else.
