DanceSport Northern Ireland is the oldest dance organisation in the UK & Ireland that has sole responsibility for the organising, teaching, promotion, development & expansion of Social and Competitive Dance in Northern Ireland and it is 75 years old this year.

We are hoping to celebrate this in style by holding a Formal Ball on Saturday 6th October 2012 in City Hall, Belfast from 7:00pm to 1:00am.

A great night is to be had by all, please see below for our programme for the evening;

~ 7:00pm - 7:45pm; Drinks Reception in the Balcony Area.
~ 7:00pm - 1:00am: Disco & Dance Demonstrations in the Great Hall.
~ 10:00pm - 12:00am: Dancing to James Huish in the Great Hall.

Everyone is welcome whether currently or previously involved with DanceSport Northern Ireland or anyone who loves dancing and simply wants to have a really enjoyable and fun social night out.

Strictly is on our screens, we are inspired to dance.. so what do we do.. well we can join the growing mass of the population taking up social dance lessons. Apart from the plethora of social dance lessons now on offer in some of the bigger cities, the hotel dance weekend has now arrived in the UK!

Before you imagine yourself waltzing around a ballroom with the retired and lets face it they are usually more experienced than 20-50 age range, think again, the trend is now set for bespoke dance hotel weekends at character hotels with spas and leisure suites. DanceMakers work in conjunction with hotels to look at dance initiatives or weekends to inspire customers to enjoy the extra dance benefit on offer as well as enjoying the hotel stay. These weekends with top choreographers are aimed particularly at the middle age range market of 25-60 year olds..all those that are avid Strictly fans of course..but if he's putting his foot down and wont dance..then there is always the spa, golf course or top cuisine to enjoy...

....afterall isn't dance a horizontal desire of a vertical activity?? If only men knew how much more attractive to women they are when they make the effort to dance...I think many more would take it up!
