We know you will enjoy yourself, and have lots of fun with dj Jeniffer Jackson spinning vibrant, uplifting 1940s/50s jive tunes and great live music from Claire Hamlin (founder of the excellent Slammers Maximum Jive Band)one of the UKs only female rock n roll, boogie woogie, blues pianists and Danny J, the rock n roll guitarist/vocalist. £5.00 on the door.

We are delighted to announce the first South London Tango Festival taking place on June 9th, 11-12th 2011 at the Bedford in Balham.

Hosted and organised by Tango Fandango and 2Tango, the Festival promises to be an exciting event with International dancers and musicians performing. The 4 couples that have been invited, cover a broad range of styles from traditional to the new, so there will be something for everyone. There will also be Beginners Workshops for people to enjoy so that you can still join in and be part of the Festival.

In addition, there will be lectures on Tango history, musicality and poetry, as well as Tango clothing, accessories and shoes - all under the one roof!

The Bedford is an amazing Victorian venue with 3 levels of function rooms including the glorious Ballroom and Globe Theatre. The event has been organised into Day passes, Evening passes or Combination, which means that once you are in the venue you can pick the events you want to participate in at no extra cost!
