Now that everyone's starting to get back into the swing of things this is just a reminder that our Intermediate Argentine Tango Class will be recommencing this Thursday 7th January 2010. A New Beginners Argentine Tango Class will be Starting on Wednesday 13th January 2010. Both of these will be held at Shorts Recreational Club, Holywood Road, Belfast.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ART OF POLE DANCING - PART 1
8 WEEKS FROM 21st January 6.30pm - 7.30pm
(PLACES AVAILABLE FOR ONLY 8 STUDENTS! BOOK NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT)- sharing a pole with only 1 person! This course is excellent value as you will be learning in a small group, with maximum attention from your instructor, Justine, one of the winners of Miss Pole Dance UK 2009, who has years of experience both teaching and performing in music videos, films and promotional events as a Pole Dancer.

This course takes place in Camden. Nearest Tube is Caledonian Road or Camden.

Want to learn to spin and slide with the greatest of ease! Or perhaps you want to tone up without having to lift weights - then pole dance is not only a great confidence booster, it will also give you the arms, abs and thighs you've always wanted.
This course is for the first time pole dancer or if you feel you need a refresher in the basics of pole dancing. We will start with the basics and give you a strong foundation.

What will I learn in this course?

In this course you’ll learn a number of basic moves and spins. Start to get familiar, comfortable and confident with the pole. By the end of this course, you will have learnt your first routine and to even climb the pole! Those moves will help build your upper body strength and flexibility and loosen up your spine and hips. It’s natural to feel a little nervous at first but you’ll be surprised at how quickly you relax into it and become more confident.

Enjoy a a salsa and jazz dance class every Saturday of the programme in preparation for performance. You can opt to take all lessons or specialise in one style only. Develop your performance skills, improve your dance ability and learn to work creatively. Participants also have the opportunity to choreograph Some experience in dance is necessary for this programme but you need not have performance experience All participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance awarded by The Basement Dance Studio Drinks and a sandwiches will be provided for all who attend the performance.
